On the way from Tabo to Dhankar lies a small village called Shichling, nestled on the banks of the Spiti River—the river that truly feels like the soul of Spiti.
Its stony banks offered the perfect place to sit in silence, accompanied only by the soothing sound of the flowing river. We found ourselves completely lost in nature’s symphony.
As darkness fell, the distant snow-capped peaks aligned beautifully beneath the Milky Way, while the Spiti River quietly flowed through the landscape, completing the scene. The night was incredibly dark, calm, chilly, and windy, with the constant sound of the river making the experience even more magical.
For me, this photograph isn’t just about the night sky. It’s about the river that gives Spiti its character, its beauty, and its soul.
This photograph will always remind me of that peaceful night, where the soul of Spiti was captured both on Earth and in the sky.
