While scouting locations on our way to Rangdum, we stumbled upon this serene spot tucked behind a range of snow-clad hills. The landscape was pure magic — untouched, quiet, and breathtaking. As soon as we realized the Milky Way would rise right behind those peaks, we knew this was a place we couldn’t afford to miss.
After dinner, we returned under the deepening sky, quickly set up our gear, and waited. The night was calm, cold, and profoundly still — except for one thing: the gentle sound of the Suru River flowing nearby. Its soft, continuous hum filled the silence like nature’s own lullaby.
Then, as if on cue, the Milky Way emerged, rising majestically behind the snowy summits. The sky lit up — not just with the core’s golden glow, but with countless stars and visible star clusters, painting the heavens in raw, celestial beauty. And though invisible to the naked eye, the camera captured something extraordinary — greenish airglow shimmering across the sky in varying shades. A subtle but unmistakable signature of dark, high-altitude skies.
This image is more than a photograph. It’s a memory of peace, cosmic wonder, and the humbling power of nature.
