IC 4592 is a reflection nebula located around 400 light-years away in the constellation Scorpius. Nicknamed the Blue Horsehead Nebula for its striking shape, its blue glow is created when nearby stars illuminate surrounding clouds of cosmic dust. Hidden within this region are young stars still forming inside the dense interstellar clouds, making it both a beautiful and active part of our galaxy.
